One of the pioneers of Tamil Cinema, T.R. Ramachandran set a new trend in comedy based on western movies. He was popularly considered as Bustor Keaton of Tamil cinema. Though famous for innocence in his comedies, he was an actor par excellence. His performances in the films Gomathiyin Kadhalan, Sadhu Mirandal and Rajee En Kannmani, stand testimony to his prowess.
